In-Room Massage Treatments
16 Bay View is excited to offer guests a relaxing and rejuvenating in-room massage from a licensed massage therapist. Choose treatments that focus on therapeutic, deep tissue, myofascial release, neuromuscular, and sports massage techniques. Please contact our Concierge Services to schedule your private in-room massage prior to your arrival.
Therapeutic Massage
Therapeutic massage is a vigorous system of treatment designed to energize the body by stimulating circulation. During therapeutic massage, the massage therapist uses massage oil to facilitate smooth, gliding strokes called effleurage. Other classic massage moves include kneading, friction, stretching and sometimes tapping. Swedish massage is the most commonly offered type of massage and is the perfect place to start if this
is your first massage.
Prenatal Massage
Massage therapy during pregnancy is a wonderful complementary choice for prenatal care. It is a healthy way to reduce stress and promote overall wellness. Massage relieves many of the normal discomforts experienced during pregnancy, such as backaches, stiff neck, leg cramps, headaches and edema (or swelling). In addition, massage for pregnant women reduces stress on weight-bearing joints, encourages blood and lymph circulation, helps to relax nervous tension — which aids in better sleep — and can help relieve depression or anxiety caused by hormonal changes.
